Thank you for your interest in St Martin's School. We believe that a school should be both nurturing and warm whilst remaining highly focused on academic achievement.
We therefore strongly encourage you to visit us during a normal working day to see the exceptional and innovative teaching methods employed by our dedicated staff to inspire our pupils; this alongside outstanding pastoral care ensures our children flourish and reach their full potential.
We recognise that a private education is a commitment – academically, socially and financially. We are proud to offer an outstanding, affordable education during these difficult financial times. Our nursery costs from just £40 for a full extended day and the main school from £3,065 plus VAT per term.

What our pupils say
Our aims
- Excellent academic education with a stimulating, creative curriculum and outstanding wrap around care and enrichment programme. Emphasis is placed on the development of each child as they travel through their individualised learning programme. No two children are the same, their learning experience should not be either.
- We encourage self-motivation and self-reliance, particularly in relation to academic challenge.
- We foster the appreciation and enjoyment of art, music and drama.
- Children develop mutual understanding and respect whilst instilling a sense of pride and self-worth.
EYFS
St Martin's EYFS class caters for children aged 3–5 years. Children enjoy a safe, nurturing environment with high levels of care and attention.
We believe happy and joyful children are more receptive to learning. Our aim is to build confidence and a love of learning. Our continuous provision ensures your child's interests are built into their individual learning journey to ensure they reach their full potential.
- Enthusiastic, highly qualified and nurturing staff.
- Small class sizes with a focus on phonics and numeracy, taught in a fun and dynamic way.
- Engaging lessons across expressive arts, language, personal and social development.
- Enhanced curriculum with specialist teaching in Music, PE and RE.
- Enriched play: baking, drama, coding, computing and science.
- We enjoy a forest school curriculum ensuring our children develop a love for the outdoors with strong links to building a healthy lifestyle. Our amazing EYFS children prepare their own morning snacks and enjoy the freshly home cooked and nutritious meals provided by our catering team.
EYFS children benefit from being part of the wider school community, supported by older pupils, with parents connected via Tapestry to their child's learning journey.
Prep School Curriculum
A broad, balanced and ambitious curriculum that prepares pupils for life beyond St Martin's, while nurturing curiosity and character.

- Rich subject offer including Science, History, Geography, Computing, PE, Spanish, RE, Art, Design Technology, Music and RSHE (including PSHE), with Latin in Upper KS2.
- Learning beyond the classroom through welcoming visitors, exciting and educational trips and a full residential trip experience.
