Supporting Charity

At St Martin’s School, charity has always been at the heart of our social conscience.  Each year we choose a charity to fundraise for and this year we  have chosen ‘‘Grief Encounter’ as our main charity. Over the past few years two children in school have lost their Dad and others have lost close family members. Grief Encounter have been a wonderful support to some of these families and we are keen to recognise this and Thank them for their work.

Whilst we are not fundraising for a foodbank this year, we will continue to have regular food drives for our local food bank and will pass on any donations given to the office throughout the year.

The Royal British Legion

Other annual charity events we will be fundraising for this year include the Royal British Legion poppy appeal near Remembrance Day and Children in Need.

Our Charity Prefects help to co-ordinate the charitable events that raise funds or resources for our annual charities and chosen charity of the year.

Over recent years we have also supported Comic Relief, Miracles Feed London, Crescent Kids, and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
